The Third Campus Enterprise Cooperation Symposium and Hotel Special Talent Double Selection Meeting for Hotel Management at Yango University Successfully Held

In order to further improve the quality of cultivating applied talents in cultural tourism, promote the deep integration and development of school enterprise cooperation, and assist students in achieving high starting salaries and high platform employment, on May 19th, the third school enterprise cooperation symposium and hotel special talent double selection meeting for the hotel management major of Yango University were held in the administrative building. More than 30 enterprises, including Xiamen Jianfa Tourism Group Co., Ltd. and Fuzhou Shangri La Hotel Co., Ltd., as well as Zhang Qingrong, Assistant Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Yango University, Xu Dan, Director of the Department of Hotel Management, and over 200 teachers and students from the hotel management major, participated in the event.

At the symposium, both schools and enterprises had a warm exchange on the cultivation of hotel management professionals and the in-depth integration and development of schools and enterprises. The attending guests conducted in-depth discussions on multiple topics such as talent cultivation for hotel management professionals in the digital era, job market situation and orientation, and practical project cooperation models. They reached a consensus on cooperation in teacher placement in enterprises, joint construction of elite classes, collaborative project-based teaching, innovative student internship methods, and expanding the scale of specialized recruitment.

The atmosphere at the double choice interview was lively, with graduates holding carefully prepared resumes and cover letters, actively chatting with recruiters and actively understanding the situation of the employer. More than 30 high-quality enterprises participating in the conference provided hundreds of job and internship positions for graduates. Through company promotional posters, distribution of promotional materials, face-to-face communication, and other means, in-depth and comprehensive communication was conducted on the requirements, salary and benefits, personal development prospects, and other aspects of recruitment positions that students are interested in.

The employment positions provided by the participating enterprises are highly compatible with the hotel management major, and they are highly welcomed by graduates. Some students have reached preliminary employment intentions with employers, while others have been hired by the recruiting unit on the spot and signed employment agreements on site. According to statistics, the recruitment unit received nearly 200 resumes submitted by students at this job fair. Some lower grade students also participated in the Double Choice Conference for observation and learning, experiencing the employment atmosphere in advance, planning their career as early as possible, and preparing for future employment. This double selection meeting is very meaningful. Through face-to-face communication with companies, I have gained a better understanding of the current talent demand in the market and the specific information of hotel companies. I have submitted resumes to three companies and communication has been smooth. I hope to receive the desired offer, "said Li, a 2023 hotel management graduate with joy.

Since 2023, the School of Economics and Management has deeply implemented the spirit of the school's "No.1 Document", adhered to the industrial chain of education and scenario based education, promoted the integration of the education chain, talent chain, industrial chain, and innovation chain, and assisted in the cultivation of high-quality applied talents. As a 5-star major and China's first-class application-oriented major, the hotel management major has long adhered to the diversified collaborative education of "politics, industry, academia, research and application" with the integration of industry and education as the core. Since 2021, it has continuously held special talent double selection conferences, continuously exploring innovative mechanisms for school enterprise cooperation, and creating a broader, deeper, multi-level, and sustainable development cooperation system. In the newly released list of achievements in the construction of new liberal arts in Fujian Province, the "Innovation in the Multiple Collaborative Education Path of" Government, Industry, University, Research and Application "in Hotel Management under the Guidance of Entrepreneurship and Innovation" led by Professor Xu Dan has been successfully selected as an excellent teaching case. Next, the School of Economics and Management will focus on further practical and detailed internship and employment work from policy implementation, job development, precise assistance, service level, and other aspects, actively building internship and employment and entrepreneurship platforms for students, and empowering them to achieve high starting salaries and high platform employment.
