Introduction to the School of Economics and Management
The School of Economics and Management is an integral part of Yango University’s history, with almost half of the initial majors falling under the college. In 2022, the School of Economics and Management was established by merging the former School of Business and the School of Modern Media Management. The school now offers majors in e-commerce, e-commerce (Sino-French cooperation), business management, supply chain management, accounting, finance, international economics and trade, administrative management, hotel management, and more. Adhering to the motto “Learning and Conducting, Economics and Good Governance,” the college is actively focused on building a talented teaching and research team that embodies vibrancy, excellence, warmth, and a positive learning environment for both teachers and students. This approach has yielded fruitful results in specialty construction, talent development, faculty, scientific research, and community service.
Introduction to the Faculty
The School of Economics and Management’s faculty is continuously growing and strengthening. At present, there are over 90 full-time faculty members. 30% of them hold doctoral degrees, and 54.7% hold senior professional titles. Among the faculty, there are 2 members of the Teaching Guidance Committee for E-commerce appointed by the Ministry of Education, 1 recipient of the Ministry of Education’s New Century Excellent Talents Program, 2 distinguished professors selected under the Minjiang Scholars Award Program, 1 faculty member in Category B, and 7 faculty members in Category C of the high-level talent introduction program in Fujian Province. There is also 1 participant in the Fujian Province Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project, 2 recipients of the Fujian Province New Century Excellent Talents Program for Higher Education Institutions, 1 leading accounting talent in Fujian Province, 3 outstanding teachers in Fujian Province, 1 expert in humanities and social sciences education in Fujian Province, and 1 young teaching master in Fujian Province’s higher education institutions. The College actively fosters a development-oriented environment that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship. It has implemented a personalized system for evaluating and promoting academic titles and established a competitive performance incentive system to provide strong support for faculty development.
