Introduction to the School of Economics and Management

The School of Economics and Management is an integral part of Yango University’s history, with almost half of the initial majors falling under the college. In 2022, the School of Economics and Management was established by merging the former School of Business and the School of Modern Media Management. Guided by the motto "Learning and Conducting, Economics and Good Governance," the school prioritizes talent development, fostering a dynamic, achievement-oriented, and inclusive faculty dedicated to advancing education, research, and community service.

With over 3,800 students, the school offers a diverse range of programs, including Administration Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, E-Commerce, Accounting, Finance, International Economics and Trade, and Hotel Management. Notably, its E-Commerce program is recognized as a National First-Class Undergraduate Program and a provincial pilot for innovation and entrepreneurship education. Business Administration and Finance programs are accredited as Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Programs, while the Digital Economy discipline is a key candidate for Fujian’s master’s degree authorization.  

The school boasts cutting-edge infrastructure, including two Provincial Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centers (Economic Management Comprehensive Center and Cultural Innovation Product Development Center) and a Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center. Its Digital Intelligence New Business Experimental Center features 10 advanced labs simulating real-world scenarios like smart logistics, digital marketing, and business negotiation.  

In the years of educational exploration, the school has been approved 1 national first-class course, 9 provincial first-class courses, 1 provincial teaching team, 1 case of China Management Case Sharing Center, more than 20 industry-university cooperation and collaborative education projects of the Ministry of Education, and more than 100 provincial teaching research and reform projects. The school has won 2 second prizes of the Fujian Provincial Teaching Achievement Award and 3 special prizes of school-level teaching achievement.

The school adheres to the principle of industrial chain education and scenario-based cultivation, relying on the micro-majors like Yuehua digital business, Bitan e-commerce digital marketing, and Kuaidianban financial and tax consulting, and provides practical experiences for more than 3,000 teachers and students. It helps students practice hard-core skills and directly and comprehensively empowers them in job-seeking upon graduation.

In recent years, the faculty of the school has presided over more than 160 scientific research projects, including 8 National Social Science Fund Projects, and others like the Humanities and Social Sciences Planning Projects of the Ministry of Education, the Provincial Social Science Fund Projects, and the Provincial Science Foundation Projects. The faculty has published more than 400 academic papers in various important domestic and international academic journals, such as SSCI, SCI, EI, CSSCI, CSCD, 985 and 211 University Journals, and 10 academic monographs in national A-class publishing houses. It has applied for 38 national utility model patents. More than 30 of the achievements of the think tank have been approved by the leaders of the provincial party committee or adopted by institutions at or above the provincial level.

The school actively promotes cooperation among schools, enterprises, and local government. It builds various training bases with local governments, enterprises, and institutions, and joint industrial schools with well-known enterprises such as China Life Insurance, Zhongshida, and Baina. The faculty undertakes and completes more than 200 horizontal research projects entrusted by the government, industrial parks, and enterprises, with more than 15 million yuan in funds.
