Introduction to the School of Marxism

The School of Marxism was established in May 2017, and its predecessor was the Department of Ideological and Political Theory. In 2001, the Ideological and Political Teaching and Research Section was established, attached to the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, responsible for the teaching and research work of the whole school’s ideological and political courses. In 2011, on the basis of the former Ideological and Political Teaching and Research Department, the Ideological and political Theory teaching and research Department was independently set up. In May 2017, the School of Marxism was established on the basis of the original Teaching and Research Department of Ideological and Political Theory courses, responsible for the teaching and research work of ideological and political theory courses and Chinese studies.In August 2018, the School of Marxism, in collaboration with five universities including Fuzhou University and Huaqiao University, was chosen as the Key Marxist College of Fujian Province. This designation makes it the only Marxist college among private universities in the province. It is a strong recognition of our school's discipline construction in recent years and signals a new historical period in the development of the Marxism School of Yango University. According to the overall teaching requirements of ideological and political theory courses in newly built application-oriented undergraduate colleges, the School of Marxism aims to offer high-quality “Great Ideology and Politics” courses. It is dedicated to integrating Chinese elements and humanistic factors into the development of high-level applied innovative and entrepreneurial talents for the university.
